Today was Jenna's first day of soccer! I have to admit, that I signed her up for two reasons. #1--I panicked a little bit at the end of preschool and wondered what I was going to do with her all day every day. I wanted to have some activities for her to do in the summer. #2--I wanted to see if she liked a sport as much as she likes dance. I want to let her decide what she pursues (down the road of course) but I wanted to see how she liked sports along with dance.
So . . . today was SUPPOSED to be her first day. Last night, we went to Sport's Authority and got pink shinguards, a pink ball, and pink soccer socks. We were set. She had her shinguards and socks on all morning and was SO, SO excited. As we were getting into the car to go to her session, my cell phone rang. The instructor was sick and the class was cancelled. Jenna was very disappointed.
So we decided to go the park and have our own soccer lesson instead. I did my best from what I remember from 20 years ago. Here are a few pictures of our first soccer experience!

Notice the pink theme? Notice the socks on Abby? She had to be like her big sister!
