As many of you know, Jenna has had her "Blossom" since she was born and loves her dearly. Blossom goes most everywhere that Jenna goes and has a special place in the Hartke family. Last Friday, we went out to run some errands and when we got home I realized that Blossom was no where to be found. I searched high and low, but no Blossom. I finally concluded that Blossom must have been lost in our grocery store, Safeway, or possibly in the parking lot of Safeway. We were all so sad--I think Nate and I just as much as Jenna!
Luckily, Blossom is a form of a Beanie Baby, and although she is retired, I was able to order one. So, for the week that Blossom was gone, we told Jenna that she was on vacation and was coming home in the airplane. She arrived via UPS today, and when Jenna first saw Blossom, she was beside herself with joy! She said, "Look Mommy, Blossom came home to me!"
How precious.
Welcome home Blossom!

Laura and Nate,
So glad you were able to get another blossom. We really enjoyed visiting with you and the girls, Laura. I hope next time your husband won't ditch us. . .just kidding Nate! Love to you all. We leave for Alabama today for a week. YEA!

I am so happy to hear that Blossom made it back and that she had a good vacation. I love that kids will believe the best about any situation.
haha... so cute! We have Bo-Bo, and if Bo-Bo is gone, our lives are sad, as when your Blossom is gone :) We empathize!
Hope you all are doing well. We understand the adjustment time to living so far from home. We are still adjusting that, and to living among the corn and cows :)
Hope to talk to ya'll soon!
Love~

Hello Everyone!! That is such a cute picture!! The story was touching also, so glad there is such a thing as returning to work from retirement!! Jenna, where did Blossom go on vacation, hope there was no sickness involved!! Love Aunt Connie and Uncle Wayne
Pepper, Casper and the 4 love birds send their love also!!
Great to see your blog up. Cute pic. Reminds me of a similar event when Miles was young. Be well.
HI - So glad Blossom is home too. Jenna exudes happiness. Love your blog - keep it up. See you later in the year. G&G Pingel
I can relate! Anna has "Violet" which used to be a pretty kitty with six whiskers and a shiny purple bow. "Violet" is now a purple kitty with many worn away spots, one whisker (that is barely hanging on!), and the shiny bow is long gone! But, oh, how we love Violet. We have yet to lose her, but if she doesn't make it out of the dryer before naptime, look out! This is a great idea (the blog.) Rory and I have a MSN group that we post updates and pictures on similar to this. Hope all is well!
